We have deliberately kept the practice small. We are extremely selective about which surgeons, researchers, and staff are invited to join. We look beyond their credentials and awards. We don’t want people looking for a job, but looking for an opportunity to contribute to the field and provide only excellent, ethical, and compassionate care for our patients.

RCSD takes a leadership role in research and clinical trials. We offer our patients access to the latest innovations in retinal care and technology. At the same time, we are very evidence-based and conservative. Our first goal is to protect every bit of patients' vision, but we try very hard to not over treat. We recommend laser, surgery, or injections only when less invasive treatments clearly won’t solve the problem. We do everything possible to minimize the pain or discomfort involved in treatments. We always take the time to explain alternative treatments and procedures. We listen to your questions and concerns and answer to the best of our ability.
RCSD is run by doctors, not businessmen or private equity groups. Our highest priority is to maximize patient care, not profits.
